This is it. The mother of all poker events. I'm playing today, day 1b. I usually prefer playing on the second day of an event because I get to see how day 1a went. It's nice to know what the chip leader has as a rough benchmark but the most important thing is just to see if there are any wrinkles in the structure, the way tables break, or any other tournament oddities.

 

I can't even begin to describe how excited I am for this event. Going deep in any tourny feels amazing but as my friend Thomas Fuller puts it, the WSOP Main Event truly offers life changing money. If you're going to go deep in only one event, this is the one to pick. I'd be lying if I said the money wasn't extremely attractive but it's not the only reason I'm so stoked. Being on a big stage really motivates me to play my best and right none bigger. Add to that the excitement in the air, the prospect of a bracelet, and my history with this event and you can see why I'm so excited.
