I taught in the WSOP Academy for the first time recently and it was really fun. Helping other people fix leaks in their game and seeing how much fun they were having playing poker made me really happy. The other instructors included Mark Seif, Joe Navarro, Alex Outhred, and Brandon Rosen. Mark is a great guy with a lot of perspective on the game. Even though our styles are just about polar opposites we both respect one another’s game. Joe is really personable and one of the best public speakers I’ve ever seen. He definitely knows his area of expertise more than you might think – it’s kind of scary, actually. Alex and I had worked together a few months back on a Poker VT project with Daniel Negreanu, which will soon be available. He final tabled the Mandalay Bay a little over a year ago and has a lot of knowledge himself. Brandon organized the event, which ran very smoothly. We did have to get up at 8:00am though, which is pretty brutal for poker players. Usually the only time I see 8:00am is if I stay up to see it. I’m definitely looking forward to my next teaching experience at the WSOP Academy in a week.
Recently a lot of people have been asking me about private lessons. If that’s you, you should shoot me an e-mail.
